After breakfast we all came home and napped. Then we got up and started lunch, we grilled chicken and hot dogs. Matt played in his pool for awhile and then we took some pictures of the kids. After that it was time to head on base for the fireworks. We left three hours early because they only allow so many people on base.
It was a great experience to be celebrating the birth of our nation and our freedom with the ones who protect it. Something everyone should experience. We originally wanted to go up to DC and watch the fireworks on the White House lawn and have dinner with the President! Unfortunately Wayne had photo duty and couldn't be more than 20 minuets away from work. His friend got to meet the president and Jimmy Fallon and a few other celebs. I'm so jealous he got to meet Jimmy Fallon.
Matt did well, he sat on Wayne's lap and had to have his arms wrapped around him. He also had to hold my hand, he wouldn't let me let go to check on the baby who by the way slept the whole 3 hours before the show and through the whole show!
So I want to say thank you to all of those that serve our country and have served in the past.
Hope you all had a great 4th of July.
