It's a ......BOY!!!

So Hansen baby #3 is a boy!! We are excited for him to get here. Now the baby name battle will really get going, Wayne and I like two different names and the one that we do both agree on we like different spellings. So we'll see what happens with the name game.
Normally up at Ft Belvoir there not supposed to do 4D ultrasounds but the tech said the baby was in such a good position that she would take a few photo's for us.
So here he is!

Last week Wayne and I went shopping and got the baby this home coming outfit. we didn't know yet what the baby was and we figured this was good for a boy or girl....I was hoping for a boy because I thought this would be cuter for a boy.

My mini me's!

Most of the time I still think they look like Wayne but then every once in awhile I see a lot of me in them....besides there attitudes, which is starting to scare me! I know I'm always saying it but that's because it's just so fun for me. But when you don't have any family that looks like you it's fun to look at there pictures and compare them to when you were little.

Another baby update.

I had another appointment the other day. Baby is doing well, heart beat is 155 and I'm measuring right on 20 weeks.
This pregnancy is going by way to fast! I just haven't felt pregnant with this one. If it weren't for this little guy or girl being so squirmy at night I wouldn't have any idea that I was pregnant...and for the belly that's starting to get in my way.
I'm barley making the weight chart based on my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm there but just barely. I've only gained 8 lbs so far and I'm halfway through already...course chasing around two little ones you tend to burn those calories probably as fast as your eating them.
When the Dr went to listen to the heart beat she said will start lower on your belly, baby's tend to hang out low still. So she looked and looked and looked and looked...nothing. So she moved to the side a bit...still nothing. Moved to the other side...nothing. Finally she moved up about mid belly and there was the heart beat. She said "Wow, your baby is up really high already! Most of the time there hiding down low."
So I guess I'm carrying this little one up high...not looking forward to when they get bigger and are kicking me in the ribs. It's bad enough when there low and doing it.
We go in on the 26th, down to our oh so favorite place (said VERY sarcastically!) Fort Belvoir to have our ultrasound to find out if this baby is a boy or girl....it is also the day the movers come to pack up all our stuff! Fun day that's going to be.

Himalayan Salt Block

Wayne got me himalayan salt block for my birthday this year. It came a day late but it was so fun to get. I opend the box and had no idea what it was at first. Took me a minuet and reading the name of it a few times for it to click. I was so excited I wanted to cook on it right away...but we had no steaks. I was telling Wayne to bad we don't have steaks and he said we do...I picked some up on the way home! I was so excited to get cooking.
I went to the DC cooking expo with a friend, Operation Home Cooking. I found the salt slabs there and tasted some steak that was cooked on it..oh my gosh it is so good. So I had told Wayne about it and how I wanted to get one.
You can put them on the stove in the oven or on the grill. You slowly heat it up, so it takes about 30-40 minuets to heat up. Then you just throw your food on there and cook it. It cooks the salt right into the meat, not just on the outside of the meat.
So we went through our pantry to and threw a quick meal together of steak, mashed potatoes, corn, olive (for the kids) apples and sparkling cider. It was a VERY yummy birthday dinner.

The first picture is of our steak, we cut it up because we have little kids.

These are the salt slabs and the other pictures are just to show what else you can cook on it.

Despicable Me

It didn't take long for both kids to start mimicking the beginning of Despicable Me...I think they only had to watch it once. It's so funny though.

Hawaii Update

Hey all,
Well we originally had orders for Wayne to check in at Hickham Air Force base between the 1st-30th of June. Well because of our due date being 30th of May we decided to see if we could get his order's changed. So yesterday Wayne got a call saying that his order's had been changed, we now have a check in time of March 1st-30th!
So looks like baby # 3 will be born in Hawaii! We are definitely a military family. Matthew was born in Jacksonville NC, Peyton was born at Ft Belvoir VA and this one will be some where in Hawaii, we don't know yet if it will be out in town or on base.
We now have about 6 weeks to go through all our stuff and get rid of things we don't need or use anymore...that's is always the good thing about moving, the de-junking part.
We will be driving our car to UT and then to CA and have it shipped to Hawaii from there. So we will have a few weeks in UT to visit family and friends. Then we will have a day at Sea World before we go. Each year we get to pick from Sea World, Bush Garden, or Sesame Place to get in for free because we are military. We figure this will be something fun for the kids to do before the baby comes and we never go anywhere.
So we will see you all in UT sometime mid February!!

Stuck

So i'm pretty late on this post, this happend about...3 weeks ago? Anyway we had just got her a new toy and she was using it to climb up on and onto the couch. Well she waits till I leave the room to do this because she knows she's not supposed to.
So as I was fixing breakfast I hear her wining and ask Matt if he's being mean. He replys "no, Peyton's just stuck, she's just stuck mom mom" I reply stuck? (as i'm trying not to burn the bacon curious as to how she is stuck) where is she stuck? Matt: just stuck in her toy, she's in trouble mom. So I removed the bacon from the stove and went in there to see what was going on.
This is how I found her.

So I tried to...unstick her. Her foot was in there pretty far and not budging. I called Wayne and told him to come home....15 min later I call him and he's still at work. He had to finish something first. So i gave up on that idea and started tugging and pulling some more. With a lot of crying and screaming I got her unstuck.

Brushing Her Teeth

It's taken awhile but Peyton will finally get her teeth brushed without kicking and screaming. For a long time we just got the brush wet and let her chew on it then we started putting a little bit of tooth paste on it...she didn't like that but got used to it.
Now she will kick and scream after we put the tooth brush away...I really don't think she needs to brush her teeth more than 7 times!
She's getting pretty good at doing it on her own now to

Sleepy Heads

With the kids sick over Christmas I got a lot of cute pictures of them sleeping.
