Ko Olina

We thought we'd let Wayne have a day to rest after his surgery, so a bunch of my friends all carpooled down to Ko Olina with all our kids and spent a few hours playing at the beach. Surprisingly Mason was the only one not to get burned. The kids and I are a little pink on our shoulders but Mason had on a rash guard and had sunscreen applied every half hour for 2 hours. But he screamed everytime I sat him down or one of my friends took him so I could help one of the other kids, such a mommy's boy!
But once I got him in the water and cooled down a bit he splashed on my lap for an hour and a half and crashed on the ride home.
The kids LOVE going to the Lagoons to play. Matt I noticed has figured out doggy paddling and Peyton is still not scared to go way out there. I have to call her back in every time she gets in up to her shoulders.
I still have a love hate feeling for living in HI. I'll probably love it and won't want to leave just as we get orders to move. As of right now I'm already counting down until we can move, I'm getting the itch for new orders and moving again.

Trip To UT

I'm so behind, here are some pictures from our last few weeks in UT. We got to UT the day after Christmas and finally came home around the first week or so of April. It was nice to be home with family while my husband was gone to school and on deployment but it's always nice to be back in your own home with your own thing's and especially your own bed!

Mmmm Mason LOVES tomatoes! Good he can have all of mine!

Homemade yogurt bites...they didn't last long!

Peyton LOVES playing in my makeup. I am always having to put it away and up high. Even then she will climb the counters and play with all my lipsticks, glosses and chap sticks.

This year we got to celebrate easter back home with all the family and cousins, the kids had a blast at the egg hunt!!

School Pictures

I have been really bad at blogging lately. So Here are Peyton's and Matt's preschool pictures. I actually have another one of Matt. I didn't know his school was doing photos, so I had his done at Peyton's school....a month later he got them done at his school. So I will have to quit slacking and get that scanned in and posted.

Hairstyles

I've been doing a lot of new hairstyles on Peyton lately. Her hair is  so long it's fun to braid it and to do twist's and knots. When I first started doing braid the only kind I knew was a regular braid. We know are doing french and dutch and cage and just all sorts of fun hair do's. Here are a few that we've done.
Sometime I will do a couple video tutorials and post them on here, if anybody wants me to?

Sock curls! Oh I LOVE sock curls. My daughter has curly hair but they are loose curls. So I decided to try sock curls, oh wow talk about BIG bouncy curls!!

This is the result of sock curls and don't forget to put on a curl enhancer it really does help!

After her curls I did pancake braids and pinned them up for a bohemian look, turned out so cute!

Heart french braid for Valentines day. It did not turn out to well, we were in a hurry that day!

                                                           The Hunger Games Braid

                                                                     The Cage Braid

The Knot braid, it's a lot like a french braid but only two strands instead of three and your tying them in knots.

                                                               The Loopsy Braid

Spider web braid, I did this one a LOT when I was pregnant because it would last for about 5 days.

Pre School!

Well I put both the kids in preschool, different schools same hours! I get two hole hours to just me and Mason, it's kinda weird and eerily quiet without them!! Matt starts kindergarten next school year and they don't have preschool out there in HI that we can afford. So I thought while we are here this would help pre pare him for ALL day school! Matt goes to the Peak and Peyton goes out in Perry to Teeter Tot's Academy. I've been asked quite a few times if I want to switch Peyton to the 4 yr old class because she is so smart! Today I didn't know they didn't have school so when we got there they said if I wanted I could test Peyton just to see where she's at. They had two test's one for the kids going into kindergarten and one for the younger kids. They gave her the older yes. She did awesome, matched all her animals counted to 11 on her own  knew her colors and alpha bet knew which letter was witch along with numbers. She knew when to pick the bigger or smaller item. They had to count how many stars there were on the picture then match the right number to it, she did awesome! I wish I could start her in kindergarten next year. But I know she's not completely ready. She doesn't quiet have the attention span for it, I had to leave out of view during her test because I was to distracting. She also got board with her test and stopped answering the questions. I'm interested to see where Matt is with all this, he struggles with things and gets frustrated really quickly and gives up. He's a smart kid he just needs to work a little harder at things than Peyton does.

Peyton loves throwing "snowbonks" after school. She was really sad when she came out today and it was all melted.

Happy kids

I had happy kids for awhile, now they almost cry every night because they miss there daddy. I don't get much sleep these days. As soon as I get Mason to sleep one of the other kids wakes ups crying, and because Matt and Peyton share a room right now they usually wake the other one up. So it's a never ending cycle of getting kids to sleep for the night. There in bed by eight, i'm usually in bed by 9 but I don't get to actually go to sleep until about 12-1.
Anyway here are some pictures of my happy kids....during the day! I know most of them are of Mason, what can I say he's easy to get to smile!!

Mason loves the camera, when he sees the orange light turn on on my camera he start squealing and smiling!

                                                                 "Super Peyton!"

                                                     Being kinda shy

She found a pair of grandmas old glasses, she had fun with these for awhile.
