Christmas Day

We had a great Christmas, our kids got spoiled rotten this year, something that won't happen again probably. Most of the time they get 3 things under the tree one from mom one from dad and one from both. This year I think Matt got 5 things under the tree and they were expensive...such a spoiled boy. Santa left more than he normally does too.
Poor Matthew was sick though so it made for one VERY long day. He didn't want anything to do with opening gifts. Well Santa also left the kids a really cool toy called the incrediblock and Matt just wanted to play with that.
So we had to tear open his gifts a little bit, he got some Thomas the Train sets. So we would tear the paper until you could see Thomas' face and then we would ask him look Matt what do you see and as soon as he saw Thomas' face he would come over open it say "wow so cool" and then go back to the incrediblock! What a stinker...those sets are not cheap! Eventually he decided the Train sets were a lot cooler than the block and wanted them opened and set up. So he spent the rest of the day playing trains with dad. Peyton got some dolls and a music box. Both kids got a VTech My Puppy Pal, Matt got Scout Peyton got Violet. Peyton LOVES her dog, Matt also LOVES Peyton's dog but is finally starting to play with his.
Wayne got some Blu-Rays, clothes and a book. I got a iMac computer!
We had a great day playing with the kids and watching movies. I made a French Toast Casserole for breakfast that will now be made every Christmas morning.

First Piggy tails!

So I thought I would try putting a piggy tail in Peyton's hair. I didn't think she would have enough for two side ones so I just did one on top of her head. Then we had a Christmas party and I thought the top one looked to funny. So I decided to try two side ones and low and behold she has plenty of hair for two!

Santa and 7 month photos

Matt thought it was cool Santa was at the Christmas party. But he didn't want to be in the same room as him. I really wanted him to get his picture taking with Santa this year since we missed last year....well these are what I got.

He did NOT want Santa touching him.

Wayne was in charge of taking everyones photos with Santa so Matt was reaching out for dad to save him.

Of course she is sitting so nicely not crying or fussing and Santa looks drunk!

Now Santa looks ok but Peyton is starting to cry!

Here are Peyton's 7 month photo's. We had her in front of our friends Christmas tree after there party.

Snowballing!

The first three pictures are from our first little snow storm we got. Matt was so excited when he saw that it was snowing. He said "look mom it's raining outside!" I told him it was called snow and that it's snowing outside. He then said "Yes that's it. It's snowballing outside!" I laughed it was so cute.. So now when it snows he says it's snowballing.

The begining of our The Big Storm that Slammed the East Coast. We got over 26 inches of snow. We were lucky we didn't lose power. We have a emergency heating system in our unit so we still would have had heat. Matt really wanted to go play in all the snow but he had a cold and so we wouldn't let him. But he had just as much fun watching it snow. We had a great snow day, we made bacon, eggs, waffles and had hot cocoa for breakfast. Matt and Wayne played with trains and we watched movies all day.
Church was cancelled and then Wayne had Monday off and didn't have to go into work until 10 am on Tuesday. Then he got out early on Christmas Eve so he had a very short work week.

Friday night. It started snowing around 7pm

Sunday morning after it finally stopped snowing!

A new Project

Yes I'm starting a new project. Usually I don't finish most of my projects but I have to finish this one since it is a Christmas dress for Peyton. It's a knot dress just like the one I ordered for $33! This one that I'm making cost me 6.50 for the materials and 9.00 for the pattern so it's still only half the price of buying one on the internet. My friend is going to help me make it since I'm still a beginer sewer. I hope it turns out so I can make more for her.

Learning to walk video so far

So I'm putting together a video of Peyton learning to walk. Then I will go back and do Matts. So this is what I have so far for Peyton. Facebook wouldn't let me upload it for some reason. And yes she screamed in excitment over her hand!
Don't forget to turn off the music so you can hear the music on the video...if that makes sense?!

Peyton's new dress and new hats for the kids.

I found the cutest dres for Peyton off of Esty.com I also ordered there winter hats off that site along with a new bracelet for Peyton.

6 month Check up.

I took Peyton in for her 6 month check up. Her stats are 16.15 lbs which puts her in the 60th percentile. She is 26 inches long which puts her in the 76th percentile which explains why all her pants are to short already! Her head measured 16 inches and that puts her in the 50 percentile for that. So she is a little on the chunky side and is tall for her age which we were thinking she was. She had to get 3 shots the poor kid. She is a big wimp when it comes to shots. I don't blame her so am I. She screamed for a good half hour after they were done. But she went home and played with daddy which made everything better! She is such a daddy's girl...so cute!
