Definitely Siblings!

Yep there definitely siblings...look familiar?

Matt at 6 months

Peyton at 6 months

Halloween

So Matt was Diego for Halloween this year. I decided to just make his costume because the ones online are SO incrediably ugly and they want 50 buck for it! We got him a long sleeved blue shirt and some cargo blue shorts, then we decided it was to cold and ran to go get him some pants the day of our ward party. I made his rescue pack and vest. I ordered the patches off of Etsy.com

What it takes to turn Matt into Diego.

Yes I was crazy enough to stich both patches on his costume by hand! The first one took a few hours the second one took about 4 days!

We tried to do Diego crazy spiky hair but Matt has curly hair so when I added the jel and hairspary at first he ended up looking like Edward from Twilight..shoulda taken a picture. So I added more jel hairspay and wax and it ended up curling in some places and spiking in others.
The ugly costume I found on the net.

And turning our cutie into a Princesess.

We put a little jel on to make her hair curly...such a cutie!

We were surprised at how little people were praticapating in Halloween here. We just went to the houses in housing complex thinking it would be really busy, there are a lot of kids in the housing we live at. I think on each block out of 14 houses only 3 or 4 would have there lights on and most of them just left a bowl of candy out.

We let Matt play the new Tekkan with Wayne while he wore off the sugar high. He actually won about 5-7 games. So Wayne decided it was time for bed...he hates getting beat!

Getting Ready For Halloween

So I have been wanting to order these pumpkins for the past 5 years and just never had the money to do it. Finally this year with Wayne in school we were able to afford it. Of course one cracked when Matt tried to help Wayne put the tea lights in.

We had a ward Halloween party at one of the members farm. It was fun, there was a pumpkin carving contest, chilli cook off and costume contest(most everyone won). We got lost and were an hour late so the kids missed the judging of the costume constest. The lady came up after and said she was sorry she missed the kids or Peyton would have gotten best Snow White and Matt would have got best Diego. Course they were the only Snow White and Diego ;) We never found out who won the chili cook off...I think we missed it. But some guy kept telling everyone to try ours because it had big pieces of steak in it not ground hamburger like most. We got home and there was less than half the pan of Chili left and there was only two pieces of beef left in it! I think the guy went through and picked it all out, he had like 7 bowls!
Anyway the kids did trunk or treating and then we went home. It was fun and Matt was excited about all his candy he got! He said thank you to everyone, I didn't once have to tell him to say it. He is such a good kid.

Trying to get Matt to hold still long enough for a picture...never goingt to happen with this kid!

6 month photos

Well now that Wayne is done with Photography school I really don't need to pay to get Peytons photo's done! So here they are, now that she is almost 7 months!

Wayne isn't happy with how these turned out. The lighting in our house wasn't very good. But I think they turned out great!
