7 Years

Well yesterday was our 7 year anniversary! Wow I can't believe it's already been seven years. Wayne and I were set up on a blind date in high school. His friend Matt and my friend Courtney were dating each other. After a few months of dateing I told Wayne I was going graduate school a year early so I could join the Marine Corps. Well that did it, he proposed right there and then. He knew if I left that he wouldn't see me again, which he is probably right. So we were married August 8 in 2002. After our first year and a half of marriage I decided I still wanted to join the Marine Corps. It's something I have wanted to do since I was a little kid and watched the Marine comercials on tv. So We went to check it out and Wayne decided he wanted to join to. Both our grandparents were Marines and I have to cousins who are Marines as well. Anyway we took our test's and physicalls and got sworn in and started training. Well a few years yearlier I had broken my ankle and didn't even know so it set wrong. Well all the training was really hurting it and so I had to back out of going to boot camp 3 days before I was supposed to leave! I was mad not to mention the recruter. So Wayne ended up going and was transfored over to California since I wasn't going anymore. After that Wayne went to NC for more trainging and I stayed at my parents...and got a Italian Greyhound. A few months later Sophie and I flew out to NC to be with Wayne. Then we got Daisy, they were are kids for a few years and were SPOILED. A few years after that we were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and I was FINALLY sealed to my parents the day before in the Ogden Temple. Seven Months later we had Matt and this last Febuary we moved to VA near Quantico and 3 months later we had Peyton's.
I am so thankful for Wayne and so proud of him for serving our country. Lucky he has never been deployed. He was supposed to go to Iraq 3 weeks after Matt was born. My dad had bought a ticket to fly out to help me move home for the 7 months. Well last minuets he found out he didn't have to go after all! There was another deployment a few months back but we got stationed not to long after he was told he would be going. Which he would have missed Peyton's birth which she shares with him!
We feel very blessed that he hasn't had to go. We also are very blessed to have two healthy happy kids.
And that's our life in a nut shell.
Here are a few...well a lot of pictures from the last seven years.
