Happy Easter

We had a great Easter and I hope you all did to. We colored eggs Saturday. Matt had fun once he realized the garbage bag wasn't on him because he was getting a hair cut, but to color eggs!
The kids had a great Easter. Peyton got a Hello Kitty dressed up as a zebra a ball that has glitter in that swishes around when she rolls it and some new duckies for the tub. Matt got a goin fishing game a disk launcher, some bubbles, a ball and a computer game....that won't work on our computer!
Matt this morning wanted one of the eggs he had colored last night. So Wayne handed one to him and said "go show momma what you have" So Matt came running over and said "look mommom, an egg!" and proceeded to crack it right in half, he thought it was a plastic egg! He then said "WOW...that's, that's amazing mom! IT's an egg!" It was so funny and I couldn't stop laughing...which was making my sore throat hurt worse. Later the kids had an egg hunt in the backyard. Matt was to busy playing with his bubbles and just walked around looking at the eggs while blowing bubbles. Peyton found a few and threw one down...she went after the chocolate as soon as she saw it. She likes those cadbury mini eggs! Finally I pulled out an egg and asked Matt what it was...so finally he started collecting all the eggs, it was as he said it "AMAZING!"

Skinned Knees and Nunchaku's

Matt's first skinned knee.

Found my old nanchaku's and Matt thought they were the coolest thing ever!

Phil and Teds

I finally got my Phil and Teds stroller! These strollers are SO ridiculously expensive it's not funny! So why did I get one you ask? Because our Combi...well Matt escaped that stroller in the mall and was lost for the longest five minuets of my life! I had gone shopping with my mom, we were at Crazy 8. We let Matt get out to sit on the bench to watch the TV they had in there. My mom was watching him while I looked around. Well I went up to pay and Matt was in the back. My mom said she would meet us out front. I kept looking up to check on Matt probably every 3-5 seconds. I could see his shoes under the bench so I knew he was still sitting there. So I get done paying and call to Matt that it's time to go. I call again and nothing. The lady said she would go get him while I put my things in the stroller. She came back and looked worried. She said he's not back here. I said the little boy in the army coat? and she replied yeah he's not in the store. I ran back there and sure enough it was a little boy with the same DC shoes on! I ran out in the mall and started calling his name and running around like a crazy person. My mom started looking the people in the store left it to find security and started calling his name. My biggest worry was that we were right by the food court and if somebody had walked out with him or if he had slipped out the doors when people were coming in or going. I was heading back to talk to the security and the lady in the store came running over holding Matt. I was so relieved...he had gotten in the elevator and couldn't get out.
SO I decided to get my phil and teds and that it was worth every penny to not have to ever go through that again!
We have had a lot of people stop us to ask us question about our stroller. Our trip to IKEA that should have only taken a half hour ended up being and hour and a half because I had three expecting moms stop me to ask TONS of questions about it. I love it because it not long like all the others. We can take off the back seat so it is a single stroller so when Matt is to old for a stroller I can still use it with Peyton and just take off the back seat.

My Poor Car...first ticket too!

This happened the day before we were supposed to move on base. I decided to go get groceries and take them to the new place so we didn't have to have them sit in the fridge over night and then haul them with us the next day. Well..I was sitting at a light (on my way to the new place), it was red at the time and Peyton was crying. I don't know why but I was looking in the rear view mirror and talking to her to calm her down. When I looked back the light was green, the girl in front took her brake light off and started to move. So I pushed on the gas and (since it's touchy sometimes) gave it to much but the girl in front of me put quickly put her brakes back on and I couldn't stop in time. So I hit her And she hit the person in front. Therefore the person in front should have gotten the ticket right? They stopped for who knows why which caused the person behind them to stop which made me have to stop but hit instead. Oh no, the stupid cop gave ME the ticket! I was so mad, it my first ticket ever!
The repair shop called a few days later wanting to know the mileage on the car because they weren't sure but they thought it might be totalled. We could only be so lucky if it were. We love our ion. But a quad coupe isn't the best for a family car. Since suicide door make it so hard to get car seats in and out. We were hoping it was totalled but not at the same time because we really like not having a car payment!

Now you can't tell that there was a piece missing above the orange light!
That was from the last accident last year!

My cute bunnies!

I saw these cute bunny ears when I was at Target the other day. So Wayne put them on Peyton. She kept trying to reach the tip of the ears to pull them off. It was entertaining to watch. Matt decided he wanted to try them on to but every time i tried to take a picture he's throw them out of the cart. Then he tried to put them back on Peyton poking her in the eye during the process.

New Play set..and Peyton's walking!

It is finally warm enough to kick the kids outside to play! I think we were all getting really tired of being inside all day with not much to do.
Wayne and I started looking around for a play set for the yard. We wanted something fun but not expensive. I thought about a swing set but I didn't want to be out ALL day pushing Matt. Once he is on a swing it is incredibly hard to get him off. We found one on craigslist for 250 that normally sells for around 600.
Peyton is also enjoying being outside. She laughs when the wind blows through her hair...a fun new sensation for her. She has learned that it's not fun to watch Matt play out side and just watch threw the door. So she will scream and bang her head on the door until you let her out. She is very content to just walk around and watch Matt go down the slide.

I decided it would probably be better to play in the shade.

Time for a bath after playing outside. She was trying to climb in with all her clothes on she was so excited.
